The Marine Mammal Center is seeking a Donor Engagement Senior Manager to lead our donor engagement and stewardship program. You will strengthen relationships across giving levels and ensure a meaningful, mission-aligned donor experience.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Development, you will establish standards, systems, and measures to guide donor engagement, support retention, renewal, and long‑term commitment while partnering with major gifts, annual giving, events, and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated donor relations and stewardship experience.
• Ability to manage multi-faceted donor engagement programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse donors.

Responsabilités

• Partner with Advancement leaders to contribute donor engagement recommendations.
• Manage evaluation of donor engagement practices for alignment with priorities.
• Assess donor needs, giving patterns, and results to improve retention.
• Develop and manage annual donor engagement budget with Senior Director.
• Improve donor communications, acknowledgment, and recognition at all levels.
• Establish service standards, workflows, and SOPs for donor inquiries and gifts.
• Develop tiered stewardship by giving level and donor type.
• Ensure stewardship communications connect donors to outcomes.
• Support resolution of complex donor matters in CRM.
• Plan and grow giving circles (Stellar Legacy Circle) and engagement.
• Define program standards for membership, renewals, and benefits.
• Engage giving circle members with other units (annual giving, major gifts).
• Cultivate donor pipeline into giving circles and movement between levels.
• Evaluate membership and engagement results and propose improvements.
• Supervise and coach staff; set goals and expectations.
• Conduct regular meetings, approve timecards, and evaluate performance.
• Support staff development and accountability; foster inclusive culture.
• Develop volunteer appreciation programs and recruit volunteers.
• Provide direction and feedback to volunteers; monitor activity compliance.
• Partner to ensure cohesive donor experience and dashboards for metrics.
• Analyze results and provide recommendations to leadership.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
