Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana in Kenner, LA is looking for a Donation Attendant at the Esplanade Store. The role handles donations, greets donors, and maintains a clean, safe environment while promoting the Goodwill mission.

The candidate will sort items, issue receipts, and provide courteous service. Higher than basic expectations include flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to busy donation periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact cordially with a variety of people.
• Ability to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop and stretch for extended periods.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive image of Goodwill to all donors.
• Sort donated materials as instructed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and promote safe service.
• Accept donations from the public and issue a receipt.
• Present a positive image through prompt, courteous service.
• Follow safety policies of the Company as it pertains to the work area.
