Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana in Gonzales, LA is seeking a Donation Attendant to join our team. This full-time position involves greeting donors, sorting donated items, and maintaining a safe, orderly donation area.

You will engage with the public, issue receipts for donations, and support the mission of Goodwill through courteous service. A high school diploma is preferred, with flexibility for days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Interact cordially with a variety of people.
• Market Goodwill and explain the mission to the public.
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and stretching.
• Work a flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.
• Lift and carry objects up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive image of Goodwill to all donors.
• Sort donated materials as instructed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment. Promote safe, courteous service to donors.
• Accept donations from the general public and issue receipts for donations.
• Present a positive image of the Company through prompt, courteous service.
• Follow the safety policies of the Company as it pertains to the work area.
