Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Donation Attendant at the Coursey Dr. Store in Baton Rouge, LA. This full-time role focuses on welcoming donors, sorting donations, and maintaining a safe, clean workspace.

You will need strong English communication, be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, and work flexible hours including weekends. Prior retail or service experience is plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Must interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
• Must market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and stretch for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends.
• Lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Represent Goodwill positively to donors and provide courteous service.
• Sort donated materials as directed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and promote safety.
• Accept donations and issue receipts.
• Promote the organization's mission to the public.
• Follow safety policies in the work area.
