Job summary

Habitat for Humanity of Orange County is seeking a Donations Ambassador to greet donors, inspect items, and prepare them for merchandising at the ReStore. You will assist with unloading, sorting, staging donations, and help maintain an attractive, shopper-friendly environment.

You’ll collaborate with staff to ensure efficient inventory flow and adherence to safety standards. The role requires strong customer service, detail orientation, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong attention to product quality and donation guidelines.
• Willingness to learn OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors during drop-off with a friendly, mission-driven approach.
• Inspect donated items for quality and determine disposition.
• Document, categorize, price, and prepare items for merchandising.
• Support donation processing, organization, and merchandising on the sales floor.
• Assist with display, replenishment, and inventory flow.
• Maintain a clean, safe donation area and follow safety policies.
• Train and support new staff and volunteers.
