Job summary

Santa Fe College seeks a Special Events Manager to lead planning and execution of engaging donor and community events. You will design high-profile programs, coordinate timelines, and collaborate with Advancement and college teams to deliver impactful experiences while maintaining budget and safety standards.

The role requires on-site work, travel as needed, and a strong focus on donor relations, event promotion, and post-event evaluation to support SFs mission and community impact.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelors degree in event management, marketing, hospitality, business management, organizational management, or related field and 2 years of work experience in event management/donor relations.
• A criminal background check will be conducted; valid Florida Class E license and driving eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Leads planning and execution of internal and external events to engage donors and raise the colleges visibility.
• Designs and assesses high-profile events including donor trips, alumni events, and signature galas.
• Creates detailed timelines and coordinates tasks to ensure timely, successful events.
• Collaborates across Advancement and college departments to align events with budgets and safety requirements.
• Stays on-site during events and coordinates venue logistics, vendors, and post-event debriefs.
