Job summary

MCHS Family of Services is seeking a Development Officer to drive revenue by cultivating relationships with individual donors, corporations, and community partners. You will lead year‑round fundraising plans and engage donors in meaningful giving opportunities.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning to advance MCHS’s mission while collaborating with staff across Marketing, Programs, and Operations. Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least three years in fundraising.
• Master’s degree preferred with at least three years in fundraising.
• States Moral Character standard.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve revenue goals by maintaining and growing donor and partner relationships.
• Develop year-round plans with donors, corporations and community partners.
• Prospect and secure new sponsorships, gifts and donors.
• Engage donors in planned giving and larger gifts.
• Recruit volunteers for committees and in-kind opportunities.
• Support events such as galas and donor events.
• Collaborate with Marketing, programs, and operations staff.
• Represent the agency at outside groups and events.
• Demonstrate commitment to the social sector and MCHS mission.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the CDO.
