Job summary

Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta seeks a Philanthropic Associate (Engagement) to prospect and steward donors, secure new gifts, and support strategy with the philanthropy team. The role blends donor services, research, and event collaboration to grow donor impact in the Atlanta region.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid environment, engage with high-net-worth donors, and advance equity through targeted philanthropy programs and services.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience in fundraising, donor service and stewardship
• Self-starter, results-oriented and committed to quality service
• Demonstrated success in connecting with high-net-worth individuals for philanthropic engagement
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage competing priorities
• Ability to analyze data, develop observations, and communicate with team members to use data in decision-making
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to equity of opportunity and diversity, equity and inclusion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and philanthropy records systems like Raiser's Edge or FIMS

Responsibilities

• Solicit and secure new gifts from new and existing donors to grow the Foundation’s assets.
• Manage and build portfolio of prospective and current donors and coordinate outreach, meetings, and events.
• Support the Director of Donor Engagement in strategy and cultivation plans for new gifts.
• Engage donors in giving circles and coordinated fundraising activities.
• Document donor interactions and track gift history and stewardship initiatives.
• Assist with open/close fund processes and cross-department coordination for donor services.
