Job summary

Washington State Opportunity Scholarship seeks an Events Officer who reports to the Associate Director of Corporate and Foundation Giving and partners with the Advancement team. The ideal candidate plans and executes strategic events that educate, engage, and acknowledge donors, partners, state officials, students, alumni, volunteers, and colleagues.

A highly organized project manager, the Events Officer crafts guest experiences, manages stakeholders, and supports high-level volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and execute in-person and online events to support fundraising and friend-raising efforts, creating inspirational guest experiences
• Define each event’s purpose and measurable outcomes, implementing a clear strategy for audience development, day-of execution, and effective follow-up to reach goals
• Research and propose fundraising events advancing the overall fundraising strategy
• Draft communications for Advancement team members to effectively manage stakeholders such as board members and honorary committee members
• Track and meet budgeted revenue and expense targets and actively manage event budgets
• Maintain the highest ethical standards of the fundraising profession
• Other duties as assigned
