Job summary

Denver Seminary is seeking an Advancement and Donor Engagement Associate to support the Director of Advancement in qualification of prospects, donor relationships, and gift acquisition. The role focuses on entry-level engagement with donors, alumni, churches, and friends, expanding the donor pipeline under supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting with annual and mid-major gifts, moves-management in the CRM, and communicating the President’s vision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Two years of experience in advancement or sales is preferred; equivalent experience in business development, ministry development, alumni relations, nonprofit outreach, or relationship management will also be considered.
  • Excellent oral and writing proficiency.
  • Previous CRM, moves-management, and budget experience is preferred; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Supports annual and mid-major gift activities to meet income and campaign goals.
  • Cultivates relationships with donors and potential donors to solicit and acquire contributions.
  • Manages a modest portfolio of mid-major and annual fund donors under guidance, moves-management tracking in CRM.
  • Identifies and researches new donor prospects with Advancement Data Specialist to expand the pipeline.
  • Communicates the President’s vision through writing, public speaking, and interpersonal communication.
