Job summary

CareerSource Palm Beach County is seeking an experienced Event and Program Manager in the West Palm Beach area. The role involves independently planning signature programs, community events, and donor stewardship with hands-on logistics, vendor coordination, and guest engagement.

Ideal candidates bring a background in event production, hospitality, nonprofit operations, or high-touch client service, and excel at managing budgets, permits, and guest experiences for donors, partners, and families.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in event management, hospitality, nonprofit operations, or related field.
• Ability to manage complex events and projects with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; donor-facing experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and budgeting.
• Reliable transportation and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point person for assigned programs and events, managing timelines, logistics, vendor relationships, budgets, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate outdoor experiences such as beach clean-ups and snorkeling excursions, including permits, registration, participant communications, transportation, accommodations, equipment, insurance, and photography.
• Plan and execute donor gatherings, intimate cocktail receptions, oversee venues, guests, hospitality, materials, and photography; support the Future Waves gala logistics.
• Research and evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate contracts, and balance quality, cost, and needs; keep leadership informed of plans and deadlines.
