Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Superior customer service standards
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
• Ability to comprehend and follow oral or written instructions
• Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
• Ability to perform complex tasks under variable and changing conditions
• Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including standing or sitting for an entire shift, bending, twisting, frequent hand and foot movement, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Hearing acuity is essential
• Correctable near and far vision requirements
• Color perception/discrimination ability

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-donation medical screening
• Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
• Assess donor suitability and engage in donor set-up
• Provide feedback to ineligible donor candidates
• Ensure all donor screening information is complete
• Ensure donor confidentiality
• Work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, laboratory equipment, and extreme cold
• Use required personal protective equipment, including eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear
