Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking an individual to assist with the blood collection process at fixed site locations, creating a welcoming environment for donors and following safety procedures to ensure lifesaving blood donations reach hospitals.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided. You will collaborate with a team to deliver compassionate service while maintaining regulatory standards across Cleveland, Parma, and Akron OH. Candidates with healthcare or phlebotomy experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR a combination of education and work experience is required.
• Minimum of one year customer service experience in public setting is required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights and long hours.
• Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Take time to personally connect with donors and explain the impact of donation.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for donors.
• Be detail oriented to ensure blood collection meets goals and safety requirements.
