Job summary

Octapharma Plasma seeks a contracted licensed physician to provide independent medical judgment for donor safety and suitability for plasmapheresis and immunization. You will supervise physician substitutes, oversee donor interactions, and ensure compliance with FDA, CLIA, OSHA, and SOPs.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, ability to train staff, and oversight of donor reactions and informed consent processes, with compensation base pay of $100–$125 per hour and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a licensed medical or osteopathic school.
• Hold a current medical license in the operating state.
• Be approved by the state licensing agency as CLIA Lab Director/Clinical Consultant.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent medical judgment regarding donor safety and suitability for plasmapheresis.
• Supervise medical staff and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee donor interactions and responsiveness to donor needs.
• Provide on-site or remote consultations regarding donor eligibility.
• Review donor lab results and assess donor eligibility.
• Deliver mandated training for donor center staff.
• Manage donor reactions and apply appropriate management procedures.
• Ensure confidentiality in donor counseling.
