Job summary

Vitalant is seeking a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist to support donor care teams and lead phlebotomy efforts during blood drives and donation center visits in the Rosemont, IL area.

The role requires a flexible 40-hour workweek with shifts between early morning and evening hours. CDL readiness and travel flexibility are valued, with a focus on delivering safe, patient-centered donor experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to complete and pass CDL license program.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Two years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as an operational lead, supporting staff with interviewing and phlebotomy processes, and providing coaching when needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for blood drive coordinators on-site.
• Coordinate the set up and breakdown of equipment for mobile blood drives.
• Ensure the comfort and information of blood donors during phlebotomy process.
• Assist the Manager or Supervisor in providing direction and/or supervision of Donor Care Technicians, providing input for employee performance evaluations.
• Drive company vehicles including vans, buses to drive sites.

Your impact as a Lead Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant's donor care team as a lead in creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donor volunteers, most days you'll conduct a blood drive around town in one of our buses; other days you'll interact with donors at one of our local donation centers. Every day you will help save lives and have a vital impact on your community.

Schedule

What to Expect

The position requires a flexible 40-hour workweek with a variable schedule. You must be available to work any day from Sunday through Saturday, with shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 10:00 PM as needed.

Base Pay

$27.08 - $27.70 / Hour

As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you'll get to
