Job summary

Rock River Valley Blood Center is seeking a Donor Care Specialist (phlebotomists) in a float position to support blood collections and donor screenings across mobile drives and fixed sites in the Rock River Valley region. No prior phlebotomy experience is required; we provide on-the-job training from a dedicated team, with emphasis on safety and quality care.

Full-time schedule is Monday–Thursday with alternating Friday/Saturday, hourly wage starts at $18.50 with a $1.50 float differential, plus

Description of role:

We are looking for talented individuals with outstanding customer service experience to join our team of Donor Care Specialist (phlebotomists) in a float position. As a Donor Care Specialist, you'll play a vital role in all aspects of blood collections and donor screenings, while providing a safe and pleasant experience for our volunteer donors at our mobile blood drives or fixed sites across the Rock River Valley region.

No previous phlebotomy experience is needed. We offer a unique opportunity to gain phlebotomy experience from a dedicated, professional, and caring team. We can provide on-the-job training to motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow with us.

Skills and Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma/GED required

• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills

Work Schedule:

Full time (30 plus hours per week). This position will be regularly scheduled Monday – Thursday and alternating Friday/Saturday rotation. Upon request, plan to travel to any site or mobile location throughout the work week based on staffing needs and demands.

Salary:

Hourly wage for this position begins at $18.50/hr and includes an additional $1.50/hr float differential.
