Rock River Valley Blood Center in Rockford, IL is seeking a Donor Care Specialist to support blood collections and donor screenings. No prior phlebotomy is required; on-the-job training is offered to motivated individuals who want to grow with our team.

You will provide excellent customer service to volunteers at mobile drives, maintain a safe, positive donor experience, and join a collaborative, community-focused environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• CNA and clinical and/or blood collection experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Enjoy working with the public.

Responsibilities

• Support donor care across blood collections and donor screenings.
• Participate in providing a safe and pleasant experience for volunteer donors at mobile drives and assist with on-the-job training.

Description of role

We are looking for talented individuals with outstanding customer service experience to join our Donor Care Specialist team. As a Donor Care Specialist, you'll play a vital role in all aspects of blood collections and donor screenings, while providing a safe and pleasant experience for our volunteer donors at our mobile blood drives across the Rock River Valley region. No previous phlebotomy experience is needed. We offer a unique opportunity to gain phlebotomy experience from a dedicated, professional, and caring team. Work Schedule

We're looking for individuals interested in working full-time (30+ hours per week) with open availability Monday Saturday.

Salary

Hourly wage for this position begins at $18.50/hr.* -

Bilingual is a plus and offers a pay increase after completion of training.
