Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, administer limited emergency care, and conduct donor interviews and medical history reviews. The role supports donor safety and compliance within a plasma collection setting.

The candidate will work with the Center Medical Director to resolve donor questions, review test results, and intervene when necessary. Experience in plasma collection is preferred and licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic training program.
• Current licensure or state certification as required for practice.
• For NY, must hold a license or reciprocal licensure as RN/MD/DO.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to perform physical assessments and interpret heart/lung findings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• In conjunction with the Center Medical Director, respond to medically related questions and provide information on donor suitability.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms affecting donation.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical medical situations to the Center Physician or local medical services as required.
