Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a Warehouse Associate to move donated items within the facility, transport them to departments, and assist with salvage materials.

You will operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, bale salvage, and keep work areas clean and safe. The role requires good eyesight, interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work nights or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting production numbers, following policies, and supporting warehouse operations as directed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate/ GED or any job-related experience.
• Ability to operate hand trucks pallet jacks and hand truck.
• Possess good eyesight and color definition.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to quickly assess goods and determine appropriate routing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule. Available to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Moves merchandise to various locations inside the warehouse under the direction of the warehouse management.
• Transports gaylords, uprights, bins, pallets, boxes to work areas; distributes items and salvage to appropriate areas.
• Sorts, packs, wraps, and transports donated goods.
• Appropriately disposes of unsalable or unrecyclable items and trash.
• Operates baling machine and prepares bales as directed by warehouse management.
• Documents production numbers in a timely and accurate manner and forwards to appropriate personnel.
• Operates material handling equipment such as pallet jack, hand truck, etc.
• Ensures donated goods are always secured and protected from misuse; occasionally accepts and receives donations.
• Maintains work area, warehouse, and yard in an organized and clean manner.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and wears all safety equipment that is required for the specific task.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Attends and participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
• Assists where needed in the warehouse.
• Accomplishes retail and organization mission by completing related assignments as instructed by management.
