Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Altoona, PA is seeking a Production Assistant (Truck Driver) to pick up and drop off donations and support thrift store operations. You will drive safely, perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure courteous customer service while representing the organization.

You must have a valid driver's license, ability to lift 100 lbs, and be able to plan routes using maps and GPS. DOT physical may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver's license and pass DMV driving test.
• Must be able to read maps and plan and prioritize daily route coverage.
• Passing a DOT Physical may be a requirement depending on city/state.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes for pickup and drop-off of donations.
• Perform daily walk around vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain clean cab and box; secure and handle goods properly.
• Plan daily routing and calls; manage pickups.
• Represent The Salvation Army professionally to customers and donors.
• Maintain complete records (delivery manifests, trip logs, etc.).
• Supervise Truck Helper and support work therapy program as directed.
