Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is seeking a part-time store associate to help maximize efficiency and store appearance while ensuring customer and associate satisfaction. You will process donations quickly for placement on the sales floor and maintain adherence to Goodwill procedures.

Responsibilities include inspecting donations, sorting and tagging items, and placing goods on the floor according to productivity standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; will consider education/experience combo.
• No prior experience required.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Process donations in a timely manner for placement on the sales floor.
• Inspect donations and determine marketability as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual.
• Sort donations and categorize for store use, salvage, trash.
• Tag donated items according to Goodwill rotates system.
• Place items on the sales floor based on productivity standards.
• Uphold uniform dress code and safety policies.
• Work as a team in a fast-paced environment and learn new procedures.
• Cross-train in multiple production and customer service positions.
• Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management.
• Adhere to work schedule and physical requirements.
