Job summary

The Salvation Army Odessa is seeking a Truck Driver Helper to assist the driver with loading, unloading and moving donated items for store operations. The role supports production needs and ensures proper handling of donations.

Responsibilities include preparing receipts, aiding customers, and maintaining the warehouse. Prior box truck experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred; high school diploma or GED is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Prior experience assisting with loading/unloading and driving a box truck is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Truck Driver in loading/unloading donations and deliveries.
• Prepare donation receipts for customers and ensure accuracy.
• Help customers carry purchased/donated items in/out of the store.
• Maintain warehouse and loading dock area; support store operations as needed.
