Job summary

Jannus in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Donations Specialist to develop a robust donation network and manage household item donations for refugee families. You will coordinate furniture for apartment setup, work with volunteers, and maintain careful donation records.

The role requires flexible hours, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills to collaborate with partners and community organizations. This is a regular part-time position in a mission-driven NGO.

Qualifications

• Experience in community relations and mobilizing community resources.
• Good working knowledge of organizational resources in private/public sectors.
• Ability to work as a team with other staff.
• Understanding of challenges facing newly resettled refugees.
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Develop a network of resources for resettlement goals (furniture, household items, cars, clothes).
• Solicit donations through partners and social media to expand resources.
• Manage donor calls and coordinate with partners for item delivery.
• Maintain storage, track item availability, and keep records of contacts and results.
• Coordinate apartment setup and moving logistics with volunteers and ANA staff.
• Arrange toiletries baskets and coordinate monthly diaper pickups with partners.
• Issue donation receipts and track in-kind donations.
