Job summary

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is seeking a full-time Warehouse Support Staff member to help process donations and keep the warehouse organized so shelters run smoothly.

You will report to the Warehouse Production Manager and the Warehouse Manager, work Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm, and assist with loading, unloading, deliveries, and daily operations. A clean driving record and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handlers’ Certification required or obtainable on the job.
• Must lift 50 pounds or more.
• Valid Idaho driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.
• Assist donors with their donations.
• Assist with deliveries and pickups of items donated.
• Assist with daily warehouse operations.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure quality service.
• Welcome volunteers and direct daily tasks as needed.
• Support programmatic staff and interns as required.

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is looking for men and women who love Jesus and want to help give homeless men a safe and stable place to get a new start in life.

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is currently looking for a full-time, reliable Warehouse Support Staff.

Applicant must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. Applicant must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.

Job Summary: The Warehouse Support Staff will help process donations and organize the warehouse in order to help provide resources for our shelters to run effectively.

• Reports to – Warehouse Production Manager and the Warehouse Manager
• Facility – The warehouse is located in Boise
• Hours – full time (40 hours per week) Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4pm
• Benefits – medical, vision, and dental benefits available for part time (min. of 30 hours/ week)

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Clean driving record. Valid Idaho Driver’s License
• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
• Basic computer skills – Capable of operating Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Detail-oriented and good organizational skills
• Capable of working as a part of a team
• Self-motivated
• Ability to learn quickly

• May be required to work in excessive heat and cold due to outside weather

Duties and Responsibilities:

Warehouse Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks
• Assist donors with their donations
• Assist with deliveries and pickups of items being donated
• Assist with daily warehouse operations
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service
• Complete other tasks, assignments, and responsibilities as necessary
• Welcome volunteers and give directions as needed
• Direct daily tasks for programmers, interns, as required

Mission Responsibilities

• Model Christian ethics, communicating high integrity and living according to the statement of faith as expressed in the Boise Rescue Mission Handbook
• Attend meetings as necessary
• Attain CPR Certification training that is required Mission wide
• Attain certifications and training as opportunities become available
• Employees may also participate in various fundraising events throughout the year
