Job summary

Goodwill Industries of South Texas Inc. is looking for a Donations Associate to greet donors, accept donations, and sort items according to program guidelines. This PT, non-exempt role emphasizes courteous customer service and upholding our values.

You will maintain a clean work area, assist with unloading donations, participate in meetings, and perform custodial duties as needed. Bilingual helpful; ability to stand outdoors in variable weather.

Qualifications

• Greeting donors/customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal employees and external customers.
• Ability to read, and write with the ability to comprehend and complete agency forms as required for operational purposes.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations from the general public and assist in sorting based on established program guidelines
• Provide donation receipt upon request from the donor
• Maintains a clean, organized work area that is presentable to the general public and meets agency standards
• Attend scheduled meetings as required
• Perform custodial duties as necessary
• Follow safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injuries and damage
• Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit of operation
• Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals
• Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned
