Job summary

Blue Ridge Care is seeking a Central Sorting Associate to manage the daily operations of the donation sorting area in Front Royal. You will sort, tag, and prepare donated items for transfer to the warehouse or thrift shop locations, ensuring safety and organization throughout the donation room.

You will collaborate with staff and volunteers, support the warehouse team, and participate in regular meetings to optimize donation room operations while upholding the organization's mission to brighten

Responsibilities

• Sort, organize, and tag donations according to Blue Ridge Care procedures
• Process items designated for transfer to warehouse or thrift shop
• Maintain orderly storage of items in the donation room
• Assist in thrift shop locations with sorting and tagging clothing donations
• Maintain a clean, safe donation room and surrounding areas year-round
• Track and maintain supply needs for the donation room from the warehouse
• Assist the warehouse team with loading and unloading truck deliveries
• Work closely with volunteers and provide clear direction and support
• Collaborate with staff handling product movement
• Communicate with the Director of Thrift Operations and VP staff as appropriate
• Participate in regular supervisor meetings to review donation room operations
• Complete daily duties independently and responsibly
• Receive feedback and seek guidance as needed
• Manage time and ensure payroll entries are accurate in Paycom
• Support Blue Ridge Care's mission, values, and philosophy
