Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sorter/Processor to support the operation of the sorting room and production store. You will process and sort donations, classify saleable items, and help maintain order in the workspace as part of a team dedicated to helping beneficiaries through work therapy.

You will be expected to meet throughput targets (e.g., store garments processed per hour) and to accurately tag, price, and arrange items while complying with Salvation Army

Qualifications

• Processing experience preferred.
• Have a working knowledge of clothing quality and price.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Can lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in sorting room operations.
• Cross-train in sorting room functions.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.
• Support the work therapy program for beneficiaries.
• Process and sort donations, separating saleable items.
• Hang, tag, and price merchandise per policy.
• Sort and price books, bric-a-brac, shoes, domestics, and furniture.
• Rag out merchandise as per calendar.
• Operate as required in other duties by Supervisor or Administrator.
