Job summary

The Salvation Army in Minneapolis, MN is hiring a Production Assistant/Driver for a full-time 40-hour work week. You will transport materials, support donors, and assist in operations at the Adult Rehabilitation Center.

A valid driver's license and DOT background check are required to ensure safety and compliance. Pay is $18.37 per hour with opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years licensed driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment DOT screen, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow scheduled routing procedures efficiently.
• Drive Salvation Army truck for pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure security and safe handling of all goods and materials.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles.
• Maintain equipment in excellent working order.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Use DSS program and assigned iPad apps effectively.
• Support beneficiaries in work therapy goals through training and mentoring.
• Handle loading and unloading of trucks as needed.
• Wear all assigned PPE including gloves, masks, and back guard.
• Report any safety or security concerns immediately.
