Job summary

Easterseals-Goodwill is seeking an entry-level Donation Door Attendant to greet donors, assist with donations, and help maintain clean donation areas. The role supports a fast-paced nonprofit environment and requires physical activity including standing and lifting.

You will work with a team to meet daily goals, handle donations with respect, and follow established ESGW procedures. This position offers comprehensive benefits and a commitment to equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Standing, for entire shift with ability to move and assist donors.
• Lifts of 20–100 pounds or team lifting.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in unloading donations from vehicles.
• Sort donations into proper containers by category and keep areas clean.
• Meet daily goals following ESGW Best Practices.
• Support operations as directed.

Job description

The Donation Door Attendant greets and assists donors in a fast-paced environment. Provides top-notch service to donors. Assists in unloading vehicles of donations. Treats donations with respect. Is a self-starter - stays busy, and sorts all donations into proper containers by categories. Cleans the donation areas, both inside and out. Strives to meet daily goals. Performs duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW. Must assist in all aspects of operations, as directed.

Requirements

• Requires standing, stooping, bending, and carrying for entire shift (excluding break times).
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Requires moving 20-100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance.
• Requires tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
• Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• All positions require the completion of a background check. Acknowledging or having criminal convictions does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.
