Job summary

Austin Habitat for Humanity is seeking a ReStore Driver to safely pickup, transport, and deliver donated materials for the ReStore network in Austin, TX. You will operate AHFH vehicles in accordance with safety and traffic laws and support warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities helpful in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate AHFH vehicles to pick up and transport donated materials according to scheduled routes.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload donations to prevent damage.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections prior to use, including fuel levels and safety checks.
• Communicate professionally with donors to confirm pickup details and provide receipts.
• Follow traffic laws and organizational policies; cell phone use is restricted while driving.
• Assist ReStore receiving and warehouse teams with unloading and staging donations.
• Oversee and guide volunteers assisting with donation pickups and unloading.
