Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a friendly Processing Center Donation Associate to welcome donors and assist with donations, ensuring a warm, organized, and safe donation environment. You will help unload, sort, and prepare items, providing receipts and supporting truck operations as needed.

This role requires physical capability, adherence to safety policies, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends in a non-climate-controlled setting.

Qualifications

• Greet donors and assist with donations.
• Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Operate equipment safely (forklifts, balers, pallet jacks, dollies).
• Stand, bend and reach for extended periods.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of donation area.

Responsibilities

• Receive Donations: Greet and assist donors as they arrive and ensure they feel valued.
• Support Donors: Help unload vehicles and carry donations.
• Provide Receipts: Offer receipts and documentation to donors.
• Organize Donations: Pre-sort into established categories to maximize space.
• Quality Assurance: Check items for tears, stains, or defects.
