Job summary

The Salvation Army A Georgia Corp in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Store Clerk for a part-time 29-hour week. You will receive, sort, and prepare donated items, assist customers at the register, and help maintain orderly displays.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, strong customer service and basic math skills, and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Prior cashier experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects, and sorts donated items by category and condition.
• Tags items with coded tickets or prices and prepares non-suitable clothes for bailer.
• Assists customers at the register, ringing up sales and handling payments.
• Directs donors to loading/unloading areas and maintains neat store displays.
• Keeps warehouse and sales floor orderly and clean.
