Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Donation Attendant to support operations by maintaining the donation trailer area, assisting donors, and handling receipts. The role requires neat appearance and adherence to the organization’s dress code.

Successful candidates will manage reports, sort donated materials, assist with loading donations, and ensure security of the donation trailer at shift end. A flexible schedule is required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod area at the start and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly dressed per dress code policy.
• Assist donors with receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain reports and paperwork as directed by Supervisor.
• Sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assist with loading donations onto trucks as needed.
• Notify supervisor of items needed (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock the Donation trailer/pod at shift end.
• Maintain flexible availability for scheduling.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
