Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory in San Francisco is seeking a Donation Attendant to support the Production department. This full-time role involves managing the donation trailer area, assisting donors, and maintaining records and supplies.

Ideal candidates will be high school graduates with strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physical tasks include lifting up to 75 lbs and varying shift availability.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per dress code policy.
• Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items and provide receipt.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separate and sort donated material into proper containers; stack as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Inform the supervisor of needed items before running out (e.g., brooms, receipts, totes, carts).
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.
• Must have flexible availability for scheduling purposes.
• Other duties as may be assigned.
