Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana in Baton Rouge is seeking a Donation Attendant for the Burbank Store. This full-time role involves greeting donors, processing donations, and ensuring a clean, safe workspace while upholding Goodwill's mission.

You will handle receipts, promote the organization's work, and adapt to a flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends. Readiness to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and communicate clearly in English is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Prior service-industry experience preferred but not required.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage donors and the public.

Responsibilities

• To project a positive image of Goodwill to all donors.
• To sort donated materials as instructed.
• To maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment. To promote safe, efficient, courteous service to donors.
• To accept donations from the general public and issue a receipt for donations.
• To present a positive image of the Company through prompt, courteous service.
• To follow the safety policies of the Company as it pertains to the work area.
