Zusammenfassung

Expeditors International is seeking a logistics professional to ensure smooth freight process flow from origin to destination and to maintain accurate data in the operations system. You will track Transcon shipments, generate reports, and assist in billing clients and vendors while ensuring timely deliveries and customs clearance where applicable.

You will interact with customers to arrange shipments, uphold service standards, and build positive relationships with suppliers.

Qualifikationen

• Basic understanding of logistics, transportation, or customer service operations.
• Understanding of ocean documentation processes preferred.
• Hazardous Materials certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).

Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow from origin to destination.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the operational system.
• Track and trace Transcon shipments/files and provide reporting as required.
• Utilize the Export Transcon workflow on a daily basis.
• Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing.
• Ensure timely freight delivery and customs clearance when applicable.
• Interact with customers to arrange shipments and consistently meet customer service standards.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Maintain compliance with all internal policies, company procedures, and applicable government regulations.
• Understand departmental process flow and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Understand customer requirements and ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are documented and maintained in DLSOPs.
• Meet established KPI standards and performance expectations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective network communication by responding promptly to emails, requests, and inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Escalate operational issues, exceptions, and service concerns to management when appropriate.
• Promote a culture of compliance by adhering to company policies, regulations, and ethical business practices while performing all duties with integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications

Knowledge

• Basic understanding of logistics, transportation, supply chain, or customer service operations preferred.
• Understanding of ocean documentation processes preferred.
• Basic awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Hazardous Materials certification preferred.

Education and Experience

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, operations, customer service, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
