Job summary

Eagle Logistics Systems, a Puerto Rico-based freight forwarder, seeks a Logistics Specialist (Domestic) to join our San Juan operations. The role supports multiple accounts, handling essential logistics tasks and delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidate has import/export and ocean freight experience, with a focus on accuracy, communication, and teamwork to ensure smooth operations and scheduling for our clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2 to 5 years of logistics, ocean freight, or customer service experience is required.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while building relationships with new and existing customers.
• Manage all inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
• Administer and create files with all booking information (PO, Booking, Container Size, Temperature, Sail Date).
• Organize booking requests with steamship lines through various communication channels.
• Manage and maintain inventory onsite by planning, verifying appointments and providing visibility to customers.
• Send daily on-hand inventory reports and appointment schedules to customers.
• Update customers on product discrepancies (damage, shortage, overage).
• Prepare loading plans based on customer instructions and approved weight/cubes.
