Job description

Puppy Luv Pet Services is currently seeking a dedicated part-time Dog Walker/Pet Sitter to join our team in the Arlington, Virginia, and Washington, DC areas. This is an on-call position, with dog walkers responsible for providing daily exercise and walks for our clients' dogs, typically in 15 to 60-minute increments. In addition to walks, dog walkers may also be tasked with ensuring that each dog’s basic needs are met, including checking food and water supplies after exercise.

Additional responsibilities include delivery of marketing materials and refilling dog treats at Puppy Luv's contracted apartment communities.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Pick up and drop off dogs from their homes
2. Understand and accommodate special requests and conditions for each dog
3. Walk dogs outdoors in all weather conditions (15 to 60 minutes)
4. Ensure each dog receives exercise and potty breaks
5. Maintain the safety of the dogs and people around them
6. Remove pet waste
7. Lead and manage multiple dogs during walks
8. Take photos of dogs to update clients
9. Respond to inquiries related to services and clients' dogs
10. Record details of each walk, including duration and any abnormalities
11. Provide occasional house sitting as requested, depending on availability

Minor Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensure home security during pick-up and drop-off
2. Give dogs love and attention
