Job summary

Citizen Canine INC in Chicago, IL is seeking a passionate Dog Hotel Team Member to join our care-focused team. You will supervise dogs, assist with check-ins, and help provide a home-away-from-home experience for our four-legged guests.

This role requires love of dogs, ability to stay active, good observation of dog body language, and weekend or holiday availability. Training, advancement opportunities, and benefits support our loyal staff.

Qualifications

• Genuine love for dogs and experience handling multiple breeds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and be physically active throughout the shift.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize dog body language and stress signals.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work some weekends, some holidays, and early morning or evening shifts.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor dogs during play groups, rest periods.
• Feed, water, and administer medications to guests according to owner instructions
• Maintain clean and sanitary environments through regular cleaning and disinfecting
• Assess dog behavior and temperament to ensure safe and positive group interactions
• Communicate updates and daily reports to pet owners regarding their dog's stay
• Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, verifying vaccination records and owner information
• Identify and report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral concerns to management
