Job summary

Positive Pooches in Algona, WA, seeks a Dog Daycare Attendant and Trainer to ensure safe, happy care for dogs and to support enrichment activities. The role emphasizes teamwork, learning about dog behavior, and participating in a vibrant, supportive environment.

The position starts early (6am) and offers 20–30 hours per week, with opportunities to grow into dog training and leadership within a training-based enrichment daycare.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and grow in dog daycare and training.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable handling urine, feces, vomit as part of the job.
• Available mornings, Monday–Thursday, starting at 6am.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage dogs in playgroups with safe interactions.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary environment (cleaning up urine, feces, vomit).
• Communicate effectively with team members and dog owners.
• Be an active team member, able to work independently or with others.
• Assist in the Extraordinary Enrichment daycare program with weekly themes.
