Job summary

The K-9 Corner is seeking a Dog Daycare Attendant to help create a safe, fun, and structured environment for the dogs in our care. You’ll work as part of a team, bringing energy and genuine love for dogs to daily activities and group play.

Responsibilities include supervising dogs, implementing enrichment, maintaining cleanliness, and communicating with the team. Previous dog-handling experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn matter most.

Qualifications

• Dependable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments.
• Energetic and comfortable working in a physically active environment.
• Observant and attentive to dog behavior and body language.
• Willing to learn and follow our training and dog-handling methods.
• A strong team player with good communication skills.
• Comfortable with the less glamorous parts of working with dogs—including cleaning and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with dogs during group play, activities, and daily routines while maintaining a safe and controlled environment.
• Implement enrichment activities that provide physical exercise, mental stimulation, and positive social interaction.
• Monitor dog behavior and interactions, recognizing signs of stress, overstimulation, or inappropriate behavior and responding appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for all dogs and team members through regular cleaning and upkeep of daycare areas.
• Build positive relationships with the dogs by learning their individual personalities, needs, behaviors, and play styles.
• Work closely with the team to provide consistent, high-quality care for every dog.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with team members and be comfortable both providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Follow The K-9 Corner’s safety, handling, training, and care procedures to ensure every dog receives consistent and responsible care.
