Position Overview:

This role involves bathing our guests' pets, either during their stay or as walk-in appointments, with a focus on excellent customer service and animal care.

A Day in the Life:

The role involves helping our canine guests feel their best, ensuring they leave smelling fresh and looking great. You'll get wet, handle fur, and experience the joy of transforming pets into happier, cleaner dogs. Be prepared to get some fur on you, scoop poop, clean up accidents, and receive lots of slobbery kisses!

Responsibilities:
  • Treat each guest with respect and dignity.
  • Perform bathing services including brushing, drying, nail trims, and ear cleaning, meeting pet parents’ requests.
  • Communicate effectively with pet parents about services, pick-ups, and any special instructions.
  • Maintain professionalism and detailed communication, both in person and via electronic notes.
  • Ensure baths are completed efficiently, managing time effectively.
  • Maintain and restock bathing supplies, ensuring products are current and not expired.
  • Keep the bathing area clean and disinfected, following health standards.
  • Monitor pet health during baths and report concerns.
  • Follow safety protocols, especially with aggressive or escape-prone animals.
  • Adhere to pricing guidelines and review prior notes before services.
  • Identify pets accurately using tags or bands and communicate with other staff about guest status.
  • Handle laundry promptly and coordinate with other departments as needed.
Team Qualities:
  • A passion for animals and animal care, especially dogs and cats.
  • Gentle, safe handling of animals; no forceful or aggressive techniques.
  • Customer service-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in various physical conditions and environments.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling, including holidays and weekends.
  • Physically capable of handling dogs of all sizes and lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
