The Groomer is a commission-based position within the Resort and reports directly to the General Manager. We believe in the mission of "Pet Lovers Delighting Pet Lovers" and demonstrate this through being Playful, Passionate, Personal, and Professional. A successful candidate will embrace this culture, be a team player, self-motivated, take direction well, possess excellent communication skills, and have great attention to detail. This is a service industry role requiring customer service skills and a passion for helping people. Candidates should have grooming or bathing experience with all breeds of dogs and cats. The primary responsibility is to ensure pets receive a professional-quality groom that meets or exceeds client requests without compromising their physical and emotional health.
This role is vital to our pets and their owners. You make them feel special! You help keep pets healthy through grooming, working on reservations, walk-ins, and boarding guests. Tasks include full grooms, baths, touch-ups, and emergency clean-ups. You will interact with pets and their owners, document observations, and may identify health issues. Expect to get fur on you, handle some messes, and receive lots of kisses!
Preferred: Professional grooming certifications; 2-4 years grooming experience; knowledge of breed standards and proper techniques.
