Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Program Manager for DOE/NNSA programs and federal business development. The role will lead programs across DOE, NNSA, and other federal clients, coordinating with engineering, project management, and operations teams from Knoxville, Washington DC, or Aiken.

You will drive customer relationships, program performance, and growth opportunities. The position requires building trusted relationships, delivering on contract commitments, and directing multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in program management, operations, or contract leadership for federal customers.
5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
Experience managing complex DOE/NNSA or other federal contracts with customer relationships, performance, budgets, and schedules.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance as required.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, execution, and oversight of DOE/NNSA and other federal programs.
Serve as primary client contact, sustaining relationships with government and contractors.
Develop and maintain execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing, and metrics.
Monitor performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams across engineering, project management, and operations.
Provide regular updates and executive briefings to leadership and customers.
Support transitions, task orders, and scalable delivery strategies.
