Job summary
PMAT Inc. is hiring a Systems Engineer - Level II to support systems engineering and continuous software sustainment in secure, mission-critical environments. The role focuses on architectural oversight, traceability, and live production support across Linux and Windows infrastructures.
Required: 3+ years in systems engineering, 2+ years in enterprise server administration, and US citizenship with active Top Secret/SCI eligibility. Onsite in San Diego, CA with potential travel.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of demonstrated systems engineering and continuous software sustainment in Agile environments.
- 2+ years in enterprise Linux/Windows server administration with virtualization and DISA STIGs.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent; DoD 8140 intermediate proficiency required.
- U.S. Citizenship; Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support systems engineering and continuous software sustainment activities using modern Agile methodologies.
- Provide architectural oversight, requirements traceability, and secure system integration.
- Offer operational support for live production software and systems.
- Assist vulnerability management and remediation of technical debt.
- Deploy and maintain Linux/Windows enterprise servers, including VMware and cloud services.
- Maintain DISA STIG compliance to support cybersecurity/Information Assurance.
