Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Systems Administrator/Azure Cloud Engineer to support the U.S. Navy through the CNIC N6 program at NSA Naples in Naples, Italy. The role emphasizes installing, configuring, and upgrading physical and virtual servers, storage, and cloud environments to maintain reliability and security.

The candidate will implement STIG/IAVA requirements, back up VMs, maintain monitoring, and design network diagrams while testing disaster recovery. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship.
• IAT Level II / DoD 8140 Intermediate System Administrator baseline certification.
• One current OS certification (e.g., VMware Certified).
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant IT experience, or equivalent.
• HS diploma with 6+ years of IT experience in virtualization and IT security.
• Experience with hardening, ACAS/SCAP/HBSS, and Microsoft tools.
• Travel up to 10% and valid US passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain and upgrade physical/virtual servers and storage and hybrid cloud environments.
• Develop, configure and maintain application hosting using VMware ESXi/Hyper-V.
• Support application testing and production environments rollout.
• Apply STIG/IAVA security requirements and industry best practices.
• Back up VM disks and mounts; maintain monitoring systems and logs.
• Create and update physical/logical network diagrams; perform DR tests.
• Patch and upgrade operating systems/firmware; troubleshoot environment issues.
