Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks a Systems Administrator/Azure Cloud Engineer to support the U.S. Navy programs, including CNIC N6. The role covers installation, configuration, testing, and upgrade of servers, storage, and hybrid cloud environments, with emphasis on virtualization platforms and security compliance.

You will back up VMs, monitor environments, and develop network diagrams while following STIG/IAVA requirements and DR readiness testing. Travel up to 10% and U.S. passport required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT II and DoD 8140 baseline certification required.
• Bachelor or higher with relevant IT experience or equivalent.
• Experience with virtualized environments (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Strong Windows Server, AD, and SQL Server administration skills.
• Knowledge of security hardening, STIG/IAVA requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and possess a valid US passport.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain and upgrade physical/virtual servers and storage.
• Manage hybrid cloud environments and virtualization platforms.
• Support application hosting environments and testing/production environments.
• Apply STIG/IAVA security requirements and hardening practices.
• Back up VM disks and manage environment monitoring systems.
• Create and maintain network diagrams and DR testing plans.
• Patch and upgrade operating systems and firmware; troubleshoot issues.
