Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive experience in help desk, desktop support and systems administration.
• Current DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II approved certification (Security+ CE).
• Knowledge of Windows Server or Linux systems.
• Ability to follow structured processes and maintain documentation.
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity tools (HBSS, ACAS, SIEM).
• Strong interest in a mission-driven, security-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine system tasks such as user account setup, password resets, and access permissions.
• Monitor system functionality and diagnose hardware and software issues.
• Support rollout of updates, patches, and antivirus per DoD directives (STIGs/IAVM).
• Maintain core services like Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy with guidance.
• Contribute to RMF-based control implementation for security compliance.
• Update system documentation and configuration records.
• Assist in backup and restoration procedures to ensure system continuity.
