Job summary
AGE Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a DoD customer with storage and backup requirements across on-premises and cloud environments. The role involves engineering and administration responsibilities for storage, backups, and related infrastructure.
The candidate will work on provisioning, operation, and maintenance of storage hardware and software, ensuring DR capabilities and governance compliance. DoD IT experience and top secret/clearance considerations apply.
Qualifications
- Three (3) years of overall professional experience in the engineering field, including evaluating, constructing, and integrating enterprise-level storage and backup software technologies.
- Two (2) years hands-on experience with enterprise SAN management: Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE, HBA/CNA, storage controllers, LUNs, RAID, NAS.
- Two (2) years hands-on experience with enterprise hierarchical storage system management and backup/restore services (NetBackup, Cohesity).
- Two (2) years hands-on experience with DoW IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Provision, operate, install/configure, and maintain storage hardware/software and related infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and hands-on delivery for planning, implementation, and ongoing operations.
- Develop, integrate, and oversee storage arrays, backups, and related components.
- Monitor data restore and disaster recovery capabilities; report on storge health and performance.
