Job summary

Serco Inc. in the United States seeks a Security Engineer to implement security controls for DoD client networks and infrastructure, and to perform in-depth analyses of current environments.

You will conduct assessments, validate security requirements, review audits, and provide technical security solutions while exercising strong writing and presentation skills for management and customers.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM with relevant experience.
• Ability to follow complex technical instructions and execute.
• Experience troubleshooting Linux- and Windows-based systems.
• Knowledge of STIG configurations and remediation for RHEL, Windows, and virtualization.
• Experience with Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMware ESXi.
• Familiarity with firewalls and networking fundamentals.
• Certifications: CAP, CASP CE, CISM, GSLC, CISSP Associate, Security+, or CISSP.
• Willingness to work weekends/on-call and travel up to 25% (CONUS/OCONUS).

Responsibilities

• Perform system and network assessments and identify deviations from policy.
• Analyze security requirements and recommend safeguards.
• Review system audits and monitor corrective actions to closure.
• Review security logs and provide security solutions for systems and software.
• Apply cyber hygiene practices to support programs.
• Present security information to management and customers.
• Handle multiple tasks and solve complex technical problems.
